🧬 Modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS)

Capture inflammation-based prognosis in cancer with the modified Glasgow Prognostic Score.

Modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS)

CRP (mg/L)
Albumin (g/L)

When to use

Adjunct prognostic marker across many tumour types.

How it works

CRP ≤ 10 → 0; CRP > 10 with albumin ≥ 35 g/L → 1; CRP > 10 with albumin < 35 → 2.

Key points

  • Reflects systemic inflammation and nutrition.
  • Independently predicts cancer survival.
  • Albumin expressed in g/L (35 g/L = 3.5 g/dL).
